Pressure vessel steel plate, Pressure vessel steel plate, means carbon steel and low alloy steel plate used to make the shell of pressure vessel.
It includes carbon steel, carbon manganese steel, microalloy steel, low alloy high strength steel and low temperature steel. Operating temperature is generally -20ºC to 500ºC, individual up to 560ºC.
These are mainly 16MnR steel (16 manganese capacity low alloy steel, a type of steel), which is used in the manufacture of ASME code pressure vessels.
